Divinyltetramethyldisiloxane description
Divinyltetramethyldisiloxane refers to a chemical structure with -Si-O- as the repeating unit and terminated with vinyl active groups. Divinyltetramethyldisiloxane is primarily used as an end-capping agent in the production of vinyl silicone fluid, vinyl silicone rubber, and other products. By varying the amount and method of addition, vinyl double-end capped siloxane can effectively control the degree of polymerization and improve product performance. It is an important raw material for the deep processing of vinyl-silicone products such as vinyl silicone fluid and vinyl silicone rubber.
Sodium condensation method is used for producing Divinyltetramethyldisiloxane. Dimethyldiethoxysilane, chloroethene, and sodium are subjected to a polycondensation reaction, followed by solid-liquid separation using a separation unit to obtain single vinyl end-capped intermediate product. Subsequently, the single vinyl end-capped intermediate product undergoes hydrolysis in the reaction unit to produce divinyl end-capped intermediate product. Finally, the divinyl end-capped intermediate product is distilled through the distillation unit to obtain the final divinyl end-capped product. The solvent-free process makes the product suitable for high-standard fields such as pharmaceuticals and semiconductors.
